Holiday Dessert Event

Dear Friends,

Join in supporting us through our biggest fundraiser of the year – the Annual Dessert Event. We changed it up a bit and moved our event from spring to fall. This gives you an opportunity to have different items to choose from with the holidays in mind. We are grateful to our bakers who cheerfully agree to provide these wonderful, homemade baked goods. If you would like to participate as a baker in the future, just let us know!

How can you support our most important fundraiser of the year?

Take a look at the various desserts and baked goods offered at specific giving levels. Pick what you like, send in your offering with your selection sheet, and you will receive a certificate for the item. Contact the baker listed on the certificate and arrange a mutually agreeable delivery date for your item. You do not have to “purchase” a baked item to participate, all donations allow the Helpline to help those in need.

Welcoming Gina Drummer as our new Executive Director

2024 has been a busy and effective year for the Pregnancy Helpline and Resource Center. In May we welcomed Gina Dummer as our new Executive Director. She comes to us with a joyful heart and a willingness to work to make our mission.
A Note From Our Executive Director

We also thank our outgoing Executive Director, Carissa Lopez, for all she has done to expand the reach of the Helpline by spreading the word to area agencies that the Helpline has resources to assist them with their own work to help others. Many groups are aware of our services and now work with us and support us as well.

Our Diaper Dash on Father’s Day weekend was a big success thanks to all of you who stopped by for a quick visit as you “dropped and dashed”. In July we had a great turn out for our annual Summer Event at Fermenting Cellars to celebrate the Pregnancy Helpline and Resource Center and all the blessings we have received.

The Pregnancy Helpline continues to provide counseling, material support, education, and guidance to those in a crisis or unplanned situation. As our work continues to grow, God provides us with time, talent and treasure through each of you. Please plan to join us on Sunday, December 8 from 2-4 PM for a Christmas Open House at the center for fellowship and hospitality. Watch for a mailing in November.

All of us on the Board of Directors, our staff and counselors keep all of you in our prayers. The work of the Pregnancy Helpline cannot be done without your support. As always, the most important action all of us can take is to continue to pray for our clients as they navigate the challenges in their lives.

God Bless all of you,

Jeanne Vogt
Chair, Pregnancy Helpline Board of Directors
